Skin Grafting

For female to male transitions, several surgeries are involved. The first is mastectomy, the second is hysterectomy, and then there are anywhere between one and three bottom surgeries, depending on what is desired by each individual.

During FTM top surgeries, sex change surgeons in Mexico can transform small breasts into masculine chests with using liposuction of the chest wall alone or with a very small amount of breast tissue removed from a crescent-shaped incision made underneath the areola.

Another possibility is keyhole surgery, which is where the breast tissue is removed through an incision made all the way around the areola and then the tissue is closed with a purse string stitch around the areola. This can also be combined with liposuction for better chest wall contouring.

The third type of top surgery is a double mastectomy with nipple grafts or double incision with grafts.

Procedure for Skin Grafting

SKIN GRAFTING is a type of graft surgery encompassing the transfer of skin. The transplanted tissue is called a skin graft.

For an FTM SRS patient, surgeons eradicate breast tissue is through an incision that is made on top of and underneath the breast (double incision) and the nipple is replaced on the chest wall as a skin graft.
